Joseph Luff

Joe is a self-taught lighting designer and technician with a deep passion for building atmosphere and telling stories through light. Since 2016 he has worked across theatre productions, festivals and live events, in design, technical and crew roles.

He is known for a collaborative approach, sharp problem-solving and meticulous technical set-ups, and adapts to whatever a production asks of him — student performers, touring shows, or one-off projects such as filmed theatre showcases. He actively seeks out new creative techniques and technologies to bring a distinctive visual identity to every project.

Joe also works at the Guildford School of Acting, where he teaches, mentors and supervises students, helping them build the skills a career in the industry demands.
